Fly WA Passport Stamp run- Waterville and Wenatchee June 2026

I finally flew across the mountains after living here for nine years… yeah. Considering I learned to fly in Montana, this isn’t what I expected but it turns out there’s a lot of airports on this side of the Cascades as well as my risk tolerance going steadily down over the years.

But what a trip it was!!

Seattle as seen from the new Dawgs departure from BFI
520 floating bridge across Lake Washington
Private strip in Fall City
Tahoma rules over the Puget Sound basin
Looking north from Snoqualmie Pass, Glacier Peak stands on the horizon
Mt Stuart and the Enchanments, the most over-visited place in the state.
Tronsen basin from over Blewett Pass, where we love to ski
First look at Pangborn-Wenatchee (EAT) from on the way to Waterville
Badger Mountain ski area, where I got to slay some powder a few years ago
A sleepy Waterville Airport as I checked the squirrley winds
I’d driven here before but my first trip in the plane for my Fly Washington passport stamp!
Waterville’s OG Lighted Wind Tee
It’s like Kansas over here!
The new GA terminal building at EAT is gorgeous!!
The pilots lounge is fancy replete with showers and comfy couches and chairs.
Another stamp in the book for the Captain!
Looks like a lot of money moves through Pangborn Wenatchee (EAT)
Leaving Wenatchee and headed back to Blewett Pass
The Cascades are incredible
Bandera State Airport along I-90
BFI to 2S5
EAT to BFI (with a circle around Mailbox Peak)
