Here’s the photos from our Courtois Creek float in 2023! (pronounced: KOH-DA-WAY or KOHR-DA-WAY)
Matt, Jennie, Els and I camped two nights at BASS river resort, ending the float just a hundred yards from our camp! I slept in a hammock and we got to see lightning bugs! The shuttle driver (GRAPE, not Greg!) was absolutely hilarious, if not a little risqué – he kept pointing out landmarks and tourist destinations and repeatedly told us his girlfriend and him “REALLY ENJOYED IT” hint hint, wink wink… I don’t think anyone else was cracked up about it as much as us!!
During this visit, I drove around Columbia, Ashland, and California, MO, revisiting my old hometowns. Here’s those photos!
Sadly three years would quickly pass before I got a chance to come back, bringing Katt with me and this time we floated the Current River 2026.
