Flying Seattle sunset, March 2023

I finally got my first flight of the year in back in March! The sunset did NOT disappoint! PNWonderland!!

Did a couple touch-and-goes, here right downwind for 14L closed traffic.
Final approach for 14R. Note I’m on glideslope according to the PAPI; note the jet taxiing toward me underneath the approach path – this is why the ATIS always states “pilots are reminded to fly the PAPI”

Lake Washington, Puget Sound, downtown Seattle and the Space Needle. Do I really live here?
Sunset selfie!!
Aerial view looking south from Lake Union to downtown Seattle, note the traffic on I-5 and the air traffic (the white lights in the sky), which are airliners lined up for final approach into SEATAC. 29 March 2023 by Daryl Greaser

Google Earth rendition of my flight track over Bellevue, around the lake up to Everett, and back down the west side of Lake Washington. Love this technology, this track is on a website and I don’t have to do anything but click “download.”
