One of our favorite places to ski is Blewett Pass / Tronsen Meadows, as there’s a network of cross-country ski trails, dry snow, and most importantly, hardly any people! Since it’s not hammered with tourons like Stevens and Snoqualmie passes, we can let Riley and Mickey run free and we’ve nary seen a soul out there! Here’s a brief recap of this season.
December: Powdah!
The first trip of the Skison didn’t disappoint! We managed a tour up Tronsen Meadow past the beautiful Ponderosa Pines and down Fenceline, which had some nice boot-top blower powdah!
February: Dumping!
March 5th: Powder!
Our timing isn’t always that great as we’ve not skied a lot of powder out here, but this day was an exception and exceptional!
March 19th: Ski camp!
Katt, Riley, and I did our mostly-annual ski camp trip. We camped off the Fenceline Trail this time and saw only one party. We did a giant loop of skiing at night to document some trails missing from my .gpx file of the area, so not a lot of photos from this trip, but Riley was cold so we gave him a “hat” and he looked RIDICULOUS lol 😉
I love our snow adventures!
