Hiking at Lord Hill Regional Park

On March 1st I took a hike with Mr. PUPS at Lord Hill Regional Park near Monroe, and found a surprising viewpoint! ~Four miles round trip, a great sunset hike!

Path near the trailhead
Sunset, lichen, and Sword Ferns make for a fantastic scene, this near the Pipeline Trail.
I love this photo of our happy Mr. PUPS!!!
From this viewpoint at 630 feet, I could see three of the tallest buildings in downtown Seattle.
To the south I could see the sunset on Tahoma!
To the west I could see the sun setting over the Olympic Mountains. What an incredible place, the PNW!!
To the east, the alpenglow was gracing the crest of the Cascade Mountains.
Today’s route in Orange. 90 minutes, 3.75 miles. The viewpoint is at the bottom of the map. The loop in light blue Katt and I did with our great friend Will from Seiku!
