Lake Washington paddle

October 6th after work we dropped off the 4Runner at the Concrete Beach at Magnuson, and then loaded the canoe on the hilariously small Crosstrek to drive the few blocks down to our local Lake City Beach Park for a one-way paddle.

This was the first year we paddled anything from Lake City, and the first in our new canoe.

Lake City Beach for the put in!
Underway!
This ramp at Magnuson Park was used by US Navy SeeBees during the 1940s, part of Sand Point Naval Air Station. Lake City beach is off in the distance on the left shoreline.
Our canoe route along the west shore of Lake Washington, which took an hour to paddle.
Back at Lake City to pick up the Subie, the full ā€œSuper Moonā€ was incredible!
This is about 10pm and was much darker than my iPhone camera would have you believe!

We’re likely to put the canoe up after this, but considering we have wetsuits and a ā€œMediterraneanā€ climate, we may do some trips this winter! In the meantime, bring on the snow, it’s time to ski soon!
